I love conducting experiments. I love testing ideas and seeing if they pan out.

Like the other day, I wanted to see if a cellphone could pop a kernel of corn. So I took five cellphones and placed them around a single kernel. I then had each phone ring at the same time to see if it would have any effect on the corn. Nothing happened. I figured from this experiment that a cellphone isn’t nearly as dangerous to put near your head as a microwave.

Another experiment that I tried recently is a test of wills. I put bought a box of delicious donuts and put it on my kitchen table. I told myself that if I didn’t eat any of the donuts, that I’d reward myself with a video game system that I was eyeing. If I ate any of the donuts, I had to wait another month before buying it. I wanted to see if my willpower was strong enough to withstand the awesome enticing power of a donut. I last about two days.

But there’s one experiment that I’ve conducted that really opened my eyes to the world around me. My son suffers from very bad acne. I’ve taken him to a couple different specialists and no one has been able to remedy his condition. He is always walking around with dots of cream all over his face and he feels very self conscious about his looks.
